About Us

Leanne Stewart brings the community of Stonewall together in the last turn-of-the-century house on Main Street. She is the owner of McLeod House Tearoom & Gift Shop, which opened in 2003 following a remodeling project that included adding a veranda, landscaping and interior decorating. The shop honours the McLeod family, who built the home and whose only son, Alan McLeod, is a World War 1 Victoria Cross recipient.

McLeod House serves a variety of homemade desserts and 20 choices of loose tea. The daily menu includes a homemade soup, four varieties of delicious sandwiches, salad with freshly made dressings and a daily feature item. Customers enjoy the relaxing atmosphere in the tastefully decorated dining rooms. Patrons place their reservations early for McLeod House's popular High Tea , while served on three-tiered trays, includes delicate finger sandwiches, cranberry scone with preserves and cream and delightful dainties. The Christmas Open House and Spring events also contribute to merriment on Main Street. The McLeod House carries four rooms of gift items, including seasonal selections, fashions and personal accessories.
Bring a historical perspective to your next outing with food and shopping fun at McLeod House Tearoom & Gift Shop.
